Kanangra Heights - Kirsty + Mark
What a quaint and oh so sweet wedding of 16!
Kirsty a Pharmacist and Mark a Paramedic are high school sweethearts who grew up in a small town Jandowae. They even went to the same primary school! A life time bond! and now a life long love!
The Proposal - from Kirsty
We were on a trip with some friends to the Birdsville Races. While we were on top of Big Red (sand dunes on the edge of the Simpson Desert at Birdsville – a very beautiful part of Australia), Mark got down on one knee and proposed. It was very romantic, and took me completely by surprise – I had no idea!
We loved the idea of rustic country – timber, wine barrels, native flowers, and country scenery (long grass, wooden fences, rolling hills etc). So Kanangra Heights was the perfect choice for us!
Most memorable moment [wedding]
My favourite memory of our wedding day was saying our vows. Since downsizing the guest numbers, and having only our immediate family to witness the ceremony, we found that we were not nervous, and could really concentrate on what we were saying to each other. It was really special. Mark maintains he didn’t cry, because the tears didn’t touch his cheek…hahahah!
When the groomsmen were getting their photos taken, Carissa told to boys to pose like they were on the cover of a boy band album. Jamie, Mark’s younger brother, immediately crouches down into a ‘Beastie Boys’ pose, which none of us were expecting, and was hilarious. We got some great photos out of it!

Via word-of-mouth through friends of our's, told us that Carissa was excellent. Once we looked at Carissa’s Facebook page and website, then met her in person, we booked her straight away. She has been so helpful during the entire preparation process, and helped us get through the venue closure hiccup, and has provided us with beautiful wedding photos we are in love with! We have had so many wonderful comments from our friends and family about how great our images are.
